Preparation & Product Information
Premium regional rice
One regional rice variety is selected at random. Follow the cooking instructions printed on the package received.
Sato no Gohan microwavable rice
Peel back the marked corner before microwaving.
- 500–600 W: approximately 2 minutes
- 1000 W: approximately 1 minute 30 seconds
- Boiling water: keep the sealed tray lid-side up in boiling water for approximately 15 minutes
Do not use a toaster oven.
Amano Foods freeze-dried miso soup
Place the freeze-dried soup block in a heat-safe bowl, add approximately 160 ml of boiling water, and stir lightly. Flavors vary, so follow the individual packet if its directions differ.
Matsutake-flavored clear soup
Empty one sachet into a heat-safe bowl, add approximately 180 ml of hot water, and stir.
- Salmon ochazuke
Place approximately 100 g of cooked rice in a bowl, add one sachet, and pour over approximately 150 ml of hot water. Prepared tea is not required because the seasoning already contains matcha. - Vegetable and ume rice mix
Mix the seasoning through warm cooked rice. One 30 g package seasons approximately two Japanese rice-cooker cups of uncooked rice. It can also be used for onigiri, rice porridge, or bento. - Seasoned nori
Ready to eat. Enjoy it between bites, wrap it around rice, or tear it over rice bowls and ochazuke. - Mackerel flakes and tuna soboro
Ready to eat. Spoon over hot rice, mix into onigiri, or use as a topping for rice bowls and ochazuke.
Sakura Box Omni Sauce is a Japanese-style yakitori sauce that can be used three ways:
- Glaze: Brush onto food during the final minutes of cooking and return it to the heat until caramelized.
- Marinade: Combine one part Omni Sauce with one part water and marinate meat or vegetables for 20–60 minutes.
- Finishing sauce: Drizzle over cooked meat, rice bowls, noodles, eggs, tofu, or roasted vegetables.
Refrigerate after opening.
