Fukuwarai Game (福笑い)
A classic Japanese New Year’s party game: build a funny face while blindfolded!
How to play
- Cut out the face parts (eyebrows, eyes, cheeks, nose, mouth) and prepare a blank face board.
- Put a small piece of masking tape or blu-tack on the back of each part.
- Player A wears a blindfold and tries to place each part in the right spot. Player B hands parts one at a time.
- Swap roles and compare results — the most accurate (or funniest!) face wins.
Print & cut guide
- Face board: Print the face outline at A4/Letter size (“Actual size”). Mount on cardstock for durability.
- Parts: Print on regular paper, then carefully cut around each part.
- Setup: Stick the blank face board on a wall or sturdy surface; keep parts in a small tray.
